Full Description: This one-day course is for the Basic Instructor Oleoresin Capsicum Aerosol. The instructor will have updates in the following instruction: principles, skills, and techniques necessary to understand how and when to use OC; techniques to control violent and aggressive behavior including the use of OC; methods to reduce personal injury to officers, subjects and the general public; methods to situations; techniques to lessen the civil liability exposure of the officer and employer relating to allegations of unnecessary or improper force when used to control violent and aggressive behavior. This class will provide OC Instructor Certification valid for three years, expiring 12/31/2027.

AS PART OF THE INSTRUCTOR COURSE, REGISTRANTS WILL RECEIVE OC EXPOSURE.

**As per code, all instructors must have a minimum of 3-years certified experience.** 

Equipment Needed: Please bring a can of OC. Students must provide tactical apparel, duty belt without weapons, a flashlight, and clothing for inclement weather. Also, please do not wear jewelry.
