5-Day Training to receive ILEA Defensive Tactics Instructor endorsement
Full Description
This is a physically intensive week of training. You will be learning police tactics that are based on martial arts and combat sports techniques. The week will include striking, wrestling and grappling techniques.  The week will include several takedowns. Those attending will be expected to participate fully in the  training, those who are not physically capable of performing the techniques may be dismissed from the training. The week long school includes several teaching periods that will take place with the basic academy recruits. During these times instructor candidates will be teaching techniques to the basic academy recruits. During teaching periods instructors are expected to wear tactical pants and a polo shirt. During training periods instructors can wear athletic clothing that they are comfortable in (shorts and t-shirts). Equipment needed- handcuffs, hand cuff key, duty belts, vests, mouth guard, athletic
clothing, tactical pants and polo shirt.
