Brief Description
One-Day course to renew current ILEA endorsed Patrol Rifle Instructors
Full Description
This one-day course will recertify individuals currently holding ILEA certification as a patrol rifle instructor; upon successful course completion, patrol rifle instructor status will be renewed until 12/31/2029.

Items on the course agenda include:
* Rifle qualification courses
* Written exam
* Introduction to new training material and resources
* Shooter/coach exercises

Note that this is a full day of training; with the exception of the lunch break, please plan to be at the range until approx. 1630 hours.

Recertifying instructors will be required to score at least 90% on both the ILEA Rifle Marksmanship Qualification Course and the ILEA CQB Qualification Course. Visit
https://ilea.iowa.gov and click “Firearms Course of Fire” under the “Training” menu to find the current required courses of fire and target information.

Equipment Needed:
* Laptop or smart device capable of accessing your Acadis Portal account
* Ball cap and range clothing appropriate for the weather conditions
* Eye and ear protection
* Body armor
* Duty handgun and duty belt
* Patrol rifle with sling
* 3 30-round magazines (minimum)
* 500 rounds of rifle ammunition and 50 rounds of pistol ammunition. Practice ammunition only – duty ammunition is not required.
* A spotting scope or binoculars, sunscreen, insect repellant, and water/hydration are highly recommended.

Iron sights, red dot sights, magnifiers, low-powered variable optics, and riflescopes are allowed; however, the use of magnification higher than 6x during any qualification course of fire is not allowed.
